Most people require Disney World tickets for the theme parks and lesser attractions. The Disney World tickets you buy will be dictated by how much time you have to spend in Orlando.
Disney World tickets are very flexible they are called Magic Your Way tickets. The idea is to plan what you want to do and buy exactly the tickets that you need.
At first glance Disney tickets seem very confusing - but hang in there, we're here to help.

First of all let's look at the 4 main theme parks.

• Magic Kingdom
• EPCOT
• MGM Studios
• Animal Kingdom

Each park is HUGE and requires at least one full day to even begin to see and do everything. If you have time plan on visiting Magic Kingdom and Epcot at least twice. It is very hot and humid in Florida, try not to be too ambitious. Theme parking requires a lot of walking. If you have young children or older folk in your party you may find that less is more.
Decide how many theme park days you require.
You can buy Disney World Magic Your Way tickets for 1 - 10 days.
There are a couple of choices to make.

• Do you plan to use up all your ticket on this trip?
  If so choose a ticket that expires. You have 14 days (from the first time you use it) to use all the days on your ticket. Any days you do not use are lost on day 15. If you have to cut your trip short or don't do as much as you planed, your ticket will be lost This option is best for short days
• Might you come again?
  Choose a ticket with a non expiration option. This way any unused days on your ticket NEVER expire - you can come back any time in the future to use up your ticket In fact it pays to buy as many days as you can afford. The more days you buy the cheaper they are. If you buy some now to use next year you will make a real saving. (I've got some days left on a ticket I bought in 1995 - you can be sure that I paid a lot less than today's prices)

OK now you know how many Theme Park days you require and if you want them to expire after 14 days or to last forever.
A Disney World ticket just for the theme parks is called a base ticket.

First of all
do you want to visit just one theme park a day?
Some people like to hop between the parks. They might, for example, spend most of the day at Magic Kingdom and then hop over to EPCOT to visit an ward winning restaurant and watch the fireworks.
If you think that you might like this sort of freedom choose a base ticket with a hopper option. If you don't want to swap and change just stick with a base ticket - it's cheaper.

With a base ticket you can come and go as often as you like in the same theme park. You can go back to your hotel for a swim and return later in the day if you wish, you don't have to stay there all day.


Do you want to visit water parks etc?
As well as 4 huge theme parks Disney World has even more. There are attractions called PLUS parks.

• Typhoon Lagoon (water park)
• Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course
• Disney Quest (indoor games and virtual reality)
• Wide World of Sports

If you would like to include visit to these venues they are called PLUS features and you add them to your base ticket. The length of the base ticket determines how many PLUS visits you get.
